About Me

Transform Your Life with Professional Hypnotherapy

Hello! I am Elena Burkeland, Member of International Association of Interpersonal Hypnotherapists and a dedicated Certified Transpersonal Hypnotherapist (CTHt) with over 500 hours of specialized training. I offer non-therapeutic hypnotherapy aimed to helping individuals achieve their fullest potential and embrace a life of well-being and fulfillment. I also hold Master’s degree in Psychology, an Ed.S in Counseling and a DVM.

My hypnotherapy path started with a degree in psychology and counseling. This provides a strong basis in human behavior, communication skills, neuro-linguistic programming, understanding brain processes and counseling techniques.

I often use self-hypnosis techniques for my personal development and a tool for my clients. This can involve learning and practicing techniques for entering a relaxed, focused state and using affirmations to support positive changes.

No, you will not lose control during hypnosis. Your conscious and subconscious mind are present for the entire process. You will remain aware of your surroundings and can choose to come out of the hypnotic state at any time. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process, and you are always in control.
Most people can be hypnotized to some degree. However, the level of responsiveness varies from person to person. Remember, you can't do it wrong; the process is tailored to fit your unique needs and responses.
No, I do not use techniques that cause hypnotic amnesia for past difficult memories. Instead, I help transform these memories so they no longer hold a charge. Hypnotherapy focuses on understanding and resolving underlying issues rather than suppressing or forgetting them. The goal is to empower you to overcome challenges and create positive changes in your life.
Hypnotherapy is generally safe and free from significant side effects. Some people may experience mild drowsiness, headache, or emotional release after a session. These effects are usually short-lived.
